How do you throw away a symbol? The ring is given as a gift of eternal love and adoration.
That being together through sickness and in health crap.
Doesn’t happen. Not to me.
It’s a solid round object that is supposed to capture a love that should be eternal and without end.
Ummmmmmm, yeah. Right.
Skeptical? Of course it is. Cynical? Fucking right.
It means nothing. It’s a ring, nothing more, nothing less. His love didn’t last. Maybe he still loves the thought of us but not the reality and that’s what love is.
Don’t say it if you’re not planning to back it up.
I could send this to the person who it should go to. The one who treats him like LeVar Burton in "Roots." I have the address. I believe it’s on King St. No wait, Queen Street. Yes that’s it. The number is right here in front of me.

A simple note that says…."this doesn’t belong to me because I don’t own him. Congratulations on your slave!" Hallmark makes something for that, don’t they?
And, God, does he need to be owned. That’s what gives him purpose.
I just don’t know what to do with it. I need to purge. Become the supermodel and get rid of the Cannelloni at dinner.

But it’s the purging that makes us uncomfortable. We think our ghosts are safely locked behind the grade 12 locker where we keep our joint and there’s no way the Principal would find it.
Isn’t that the joke?
Would I like it? Would I like the mirror shoved in my face with the zit glowing from within? No, of course not.
But then if he’s got a problem, TAKE UP THE PEN!

I just may send the ring to "the other one". It’s still in the cards. I aint sayin’ no, baby.

There’s so many variables.
It’s just a letter to OZ, with a "M". That, "Over the Rainbow", can just really be a bugger.
